BERT LORD'S GRAVE IN FARNHAM
Use in conjunction with Violet's story
Not only can you take the class up to the castle Keep, but tell them Violet's story and let them explore Farnham's West Street cemetery to find her brother, Albert Cecil James (A.C.J.) Lord's grave. He received a bullet wound in his left hip when fighting in France on August 28th 1918, just weeks away from the end of the First World War. He died in hospital a few days later, on September 10th 1918. Here's a map of the cemetery to help you find his grave
