Welcome to Farnham’s 
Norman Castle and Bishop’s Palace

More than 900 years of history and the residence of numerous Bishops of Winchester. An historic site of military importance and a favoured place to visit for many Kings and Queens of England from King John to Queen Victoria. 
 

  • The Castle Keep and Exhibition are open every day (except for month of January) Entrance to both is free (February-December)

  • Bishop's Palace Tours are every Wednesday afternoon (2-4pm). 

 

Tours are free to under 18s and students. Others £5 each

The charity works to guarantee public access, increase awareness, interest and historical knowledge of a site of major historic and architectural importance.
